Luis Castillo was great and did not make me feel like that at all! He really helped me through this experience and made it a fun/exciting thing. Ali also made the experience easy for me, he took care of getting me financed and really seemed to know his stuff. Another great aspect of this dealership is that they are dog friendly! and they definitely mean it, I took my dog in and she got so much love from the staff and patrons there.
Will definitely be back for future cars!
Now for the customer service: when I arrived the gentleman that greeted me was very nice. Another gentleman showed me to the loaner car, he was also very nice. I hadn't driven far when I noticed the car smelled like cigarette smoke. I started feeling nauseous and headachy. I went back and told them that I couldn't take the loaner and explained why. They were going to rent me car from enterprise and pay for it. I thought that was very client focused. It did turn out that they had an SUV but it hadn't been cleaned yet. That was fine as long as it didn't smell like smoke.
Now, here is where there is room for improvement: the vehicle is a push start rather than key start. Never having driven one before, I had to go back inside to ask how to start the car. Also, the vehicle had about an 1/8 of a tank of gas. When I pulled into the gas station, I couldn't find the latch to open the gas cover. I had to ask someone to help me look for it and he didn't know either. We finally found it as it wasn't evident where to look.
So all in all I'll give them 9 out of 10.
I switched to Myers (bells corners location) for servicing and to buy some genuine parts. Recieved top quality, excellent service. And they gave really fair prices (unlike Dilawri)
I personally will not go back to Dilawri and am mostly likely going to go back to Myers (Bells Corners) for servicing and parts.
Fast forward 6 hours and I get a phone call that my tires have been lost and they have been replaced by a brand new set of Goodrich tires. I was so pleasantly surprised that they proactively corrected their mistake and did not make me have to fight for replacements and that the replacement they chose was of a high quality. Well done, Barrhaven Hyundai ... now just look up and say "Hi" when a customer comes through the door :) and you'll be golden.
Always putting customer service first, especially post sales.
Very flexible service hours, I wish more dealerships took this approach and put the customer first.
